How It All Started
“Baking has always been a passion of mine since childhood, growing up in rural South Texas and watching my great aunts, and cousins bake/cook different goods from scratch, and just enjoying themselves in the kitchen. From then on, in every place I have lived, the kitchen has been my escape and calm space. I currently work full-time aside from my baking, but life is good.
The bakery is named after my grandmother, Nora Lee. She was a southern lady, who said what was on her mind, loved church, her family , and had a passion for canning just about anything from fruits, veggies, all made with love out of her little blue, rustic backyard canning shed. So we had fresh homemade jams, jellies, and pickles all the time growing up.
My baked goods are scratch-made daily. I specialize in classic desserts, which will remind you of the treats that you could get from parents and grandparents' house. Think of how you used to open the cake cover or tin and discover simple but delicious desserts. No fancy fondant, just fluffy buttercream and plain goodness made with love—that’s what I do.”
